![]() “Ara, thanks for getting me back on the field” Alexi Lalas, New England Revolution, U.S. National Team, Olympic Soccer Team ARA SAKAYAN, PT, ATC, CSCSAra is a physical therapist, athletic trainer and NSCA certified fitness trainer. He received his orthopedic physical therapy training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (1977-1979). Two years later he started an orthopedic and sports physical therapy practice in Boston. During this time, he also was an athletic trainer at the high school, college and professional level. Most notably, he was the Head Trainer/Therapist for the New England Revolution Pro Soccer Team and Boston Blazers Pro Lacrosse Team. He has worked with other professional athletes from baseball, football, hockey in addition to U.S. National Teams and Olympic athletes. Ara is on the physical therapist provider list for the Boston Shoulder Institue based at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Woman’s Hospital. He is also a preferred therapist for the Orthopedic Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. Mike Fritz, ATC, NASM-PES, NASM-CES, LPTAMike has a Master of Science in Human Performance and Injury Prevention. He is an athletic trainer, physical therapy assistant, sports medicine performance enhancement specialist and corrective exercise specialist. He has 15 years of orthopedic and sports therapy experience. Mike was also the Head Trainer for the New England Revolution Pro Soccer Team (1997 to 2004). In addition he was also the assistant trainer for the Boston Blazers Pro Soccer team. Presently, Mike is an assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy program at North Shore Community College. Kipp Dye, MSPT / ConsultantKipp Dye is a well known Boston-based physical therapist who previously managed Charles River Sports Therapy, Boston, Inc. He is currently the owner of OrthosportsMED Physical Therapy. Kipp graduated with a Master of Science degree from Simmons College (1996) and obtained his undergraduate education from the University of California at Berkeley (1986). Kipp is an accomplished competitive swimmer: a high school and NCAA Division I All-American, and a gold medalist in the 50 Meter Backstroke at the 1998 Nike World Masters Games. Kipp understands water therapy and fitness and works with those who have orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, sports injuries, and post-surgical conditions. His areas of specialty are foot and ankle, shoulder, and knee conditions. Also, Kipp is an inventor of the Aquafit water therapy and fitness product line. |
